Let's Do This!

My name is Ben Drago, and I'm the manager of Organized Play for Upper Deck. For the next couple of weeks, I'm going to be updating this blog about the World of Warcraft TCG World Championships that's going to run November 29 - December 2 here in San Diego. I'll be highlighting some of the cooler events we're running that weekend, and giving you a little peek "behind the scenes" to see some of what goes on to make these weekends happen. So enough blah-blah. Let's talk about these shirts. These are going to be the prizes for anyone that beats our gunslingers in a one-on-one match or against a raid deck. You can play as many times as you want, but you can only win one shirt per day. There's no farming these bosses.

The crimson shirt is your standard t-shirt, while the purple version is a ladies cut. We've ordered them in every size from Small to 4-XL, so you can get your exact size.

T-shirts are "fun" prize to put together. I love being involved with the design - you can be very creative, and it's a bit of a thrill when you see someone wearing what you worked on walking around in real world. But the puzzle of trying to manage sizes is significant challenge. We can't just order tons of every size, as you can't return them once they're printed. So you try and predict what the winners will want, and hopefully put together a distribution that matches. And if you're really lucky, the vendor actually prints and ships exactly what you ordered.
